Testimonials from Retreat Guests

Two Sisters Farm September '08  Retreat:

Geri, Bev, Joanne, Lucia, Lisa, Chris, Rivien, Pat -

We are family...I've got all my sisters with me!

Chris and Lisa,

As I sit out back in this morning sun with dew on the pastures and baying dogs in the distance I'm soaking up only the exterior beauty that your place has to offer.  Not seen, but only felt is the joy, the laughter, the peacefulness that this place brings.  Your dream in honoring your sister by embracing those who will come this way is a gift that will bless you all the days of your life and extend the lives of those who walk these hallowed grounds.  Thank you!
Your friend with love,
Bev

My words can only match the eloquence written before me.  I will never forget this once in a lifetime experience.
It is so often said that it takes a tragedy to see the light.  I have truly been enlightened by you all and will always remember this beautiful place.
Til we meet again...
Love you all,
Joanne

Thank you for creating such wonderful memories with me.  I am truly blessed for having met you all!  You will forever bring a smile to my face each in your own unique way! Chris, thank you for opening your home and giving us the opportunity to come together.  This is a truly special place, as you well know!
Love and Blessings to you,
Lucia
P.S.  If I fail my exam Monday, I'll hold ya'll responsible!  Too much fun to study!!!

Thank you so much for this much needed retreat. It is great to talk about some issues
concerning my cancer with others. Mary

A great mix of activity, talk and food with plenty to do. As well as plenty of time to
just rest or chill. I feel so refresed. Lisa

This was a wonderful experience. I am so glad my first trip to Moab was with such a wonderful group of women! As always, Tess and Mar were the right combination of fun, humor and warm friendship! Jan

Two Sisters Farm April '08 Retreat :

I will carry the memory of these four days in my heart wherever my path leads. I hope to bring this special feeling of joy and grace back into the "real" world. This is LIVING - Thanks for the reminder!
Jill

You put the "treat" in retreat. What a great way to spend four days. Thank you for all you did and continue to do and especially for who you are...my dear friends.
Lisette

This has been a wonderful experience. I thank everyone for all that was provided, especially the love and caring I felt from the moment I arrived.
Renee

Thank you so much for introducing me to such a wonderful group of women. It was a relief to be able to discuss issues that only survivors understand, and to be guided by such caring facilitators. I will never forget the kindness.
Sandra

Thanks for a four day hiatus from the real world - lots of laughs, peace and feeling free from all my concerns and worries. Susan

"I felt as if I truly got the key to heaven for four days. I was so scared to go, and yet I knew I needed to go. The self expression activity opened new doors to my soul. The WBC retreat experience is branded in my heart forever. The retreat was the greatest fear and the greatest blessing to me all at the same time. It was a life altering experience. Soul searching, connecting and self evaluating. From Jed Henrie (husband) WBC changed my wife's energy for hope and healing."

Park City, 2008 Retreat

Hi Chris,

It was great to meet everyone. I so enjoyed the time I spent at the retreat.
Jan had told me about her experience last year but there is really no way to
describe how it really is and how wonderful the women are.
like I said..."It  almost makes you wish you had cancer!"

Like your sister , Jan is my best friend and I am so glad that when she was
diagnosed that there was WBC support that helped her see the other side of
cancer. Her change of attitude after the retreat she attended was amazing!
I'm sorry you lost your sister... you are doing amazing things in
honoring her memory!  I was so impressed with the volunteers and facilitators everyone was
so loving and caring! The leadership of WBC are a great bunch of women!
Sending love your way, and I hope to see you again soon!
Jill

The weekend spend at the Women Beyond Cancer was exceptional. I felt relaxed, pampered and cared for with real concern and compassion. It was a totally worthwhile experience. I felt I learned a lot about dealing with cancer and nutrition. It was upbeat and fun. I would recommend it without exception.

To you Three Wonderful Women

Thank you so very much for the incredible experience last weekend at the Park City Yoga/Snow-Shoe Retreat.  The entire program was so well thought-out and executed ~ we could not have asked for anything more.  I can only imagine how hard the three of you worked to make everything perfect ~ for that, I am so very grateful.  I know for a fact, our paths will cross again ~ and soon, I hope...
-Joan Childers

"Every interaction I've had with cancer survivors has confirmed my intuition about why they are so special.  When someone is faced with a life-threatening perspective,  their spirits wake up and take over.  The WBC retreats are a celebration of this collective brilliant consciousness.  Yoga, as a mind/body connection,  also intensifies this collective brilliant consciousness so it brings me great joy to be able to share SOLA Yoga Stick with WBC!"
-Nicole of Green Tree Yoga

“I learned more in twenty minutes than I’ve learned in twenty years!”

Mary Ann – from Utah

I know that dealing with cancer can be a very heavy experience.  But my sister, who battled her brain tumor for 17 years, taught me important lessons; to live in the moment with joy, laughter and gratitude as long as you possibly can.  Having retreats at my farm reminds me of Girl Scout camp.  We have a blast. Yes, sometimes there are tears, but oh, there is so  much joy.  You don't have to ride horses to enjoy the farm...just come and enjoy the peace and the friendship.
